A saturday afternoon in hipster Nørrebro, strolling in Jægersborggade, known for creative quality shops and innovation. One of the hippest and most buzzing streets in Copenhagen at the moment. Not the first street and neighbourhood where the creative scene takes over after a more dodgy period.
In Jægersborggade you will find specialty shops, selling everything from food, coffee, wine, clothes and luxury items for body and soul, and a handful of studios where designers, photographers, potters and artists create and sell their work. The atmosphere in the street is unique – this is where you will find the raw and rough, the unexpected and the new and a good deal of everyday Copenhagen life.
Fun shops are Kaktus, a cactus-only conceptstore and Palermo Hollywood, which opened two weeks ago. At Palermo you can find a mix between art and pop culture with a twist, ‘life is complicated enough.’ Also located in Jægersborggade is Michelin-starred restaurant Relæ and The Coffee Collective, which is a specialty micro roastery and coffee consulting company. My next breakfast stop will be at Grød; only porridge is on the menu. At Grød they are creative creating dishes as spelt porridge with chestnut purée, apple and toasted almonds…
A photo impression.
